The Art of Letting Go: Gut Health, Hormones & Finding Balance From the Inside Out
Join us this autumn in the Sierra Nevada for a long weekend of movement, nourishment, nature, laughter, learning and mountain magic.
This year’s Sierra + Soul retreat is getting a fresh twist. Inspired by our own experiences & the powerful connection between gut health and overall well-being, we’re gathering for what we’re affectionately calling:
🦉🦩THE HOLY SH!T EXPERIENCE💩
🍂🍁🍅🌽🥦🌿🍄🍂🍁🥗🥑🥝🍊🫐🫑🍋🍎🧘♀️🫁🥾🎶🪘🎨🌲🍂🌮🍇🍳🥣😋🍗🥓🍞🍐🌈🌻💩
Together we’ll explore how digestion, hormones, nervous system health, movement, rest and daily habits shape how we feel, function and age. We’re thrilled to welcome special guest facilitator Janel Anderson of Mountain Rebalance (https://mountainrebalance.com), who will share her expertise and practical wisdom around digestive health, hormones, metabolism and sustainable wellness.
Through workshops, conversations and simple tools you can bring home, we’ll explore ways to support the body’s natural ability to heal and rebalance.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Autumn is associated with the Lung and Large Intestine systems—the season of letting go. Just as the trees release their leaves, we’re invited to release what no longer serves us: old habits, chronic stress, outdated stories and perhaps even some digestive baggage we’ve been carrying around for far too long.
As always, Two Little Birds Retreats create one-of-a-kind experiences that blend education, connection, restoration and plenty of playfulness. This weekend is an invitation to slow down, reconnect and get curious about what true well-being feels like.
Some of our Holy Sh!t Autumn offerings include:
🧘♀️Morning yoga, qigong and movement practices
🥑Workshops on gut health, hormones and midlife transitions
🌿 Nervous system education and restoration tools
🫁Guided breathwork and meditation
🌲Forest walks and time in nature
👙Hot spring soaks and invigorating river plunges
🎶Magical live tunes and sound bathing
👯♀️Meaningful circles, community connection and loads of laughter
🌈Moments of spontaneous mountain magic

The truth? Our gut is kind of everything.
Whether you’re dealing with digestive discomfort, hormone shifts, low energy, brain fog, sleep challenges, skin issues, stress, or simply want to support your health proactively, this retreat is for you.
Gut symptoms aren’t always felt in the gut. They can show up in the brain, hormones, joints, nervous system, mood, energy or sleep. The gut is deeply connected to how we feel, function and show up in our lives.
The Holy Sh!t Experience is an invitation to reconnect with the incredible wisdom of our bodies, from the inside out, because healing sometimes begins with learning what to hold onto and what to let go of.

We’re especially excited for the delicious seasonal meals crafted by Rainbow Lodge’s own Chef Spencer Shapton. Thoughtfully prepared and deeply nourishing, each meal is designed to support our weekend of restoration, without any of the planning, shopping, cooking or cleanup! (Yesssss.)
And yay... special bonus! Our resident massage guru, Emily Weer of Summit Lotus Massage, returns as an optional offering for anyone wishing to book bodywork during our stay.
Above all, what we find to be the juiciest part of these retreats is the SPACE created for authentic connection, curiosity, reflection and growth... the unexpected moments that emerge when we slow down, show up fully and allow ourselves to be REAL.
We’re thrilled to welcome you back to the historic and vibrant Rainbow Lodge for a weekend of nourishment, connection, balance and renewal.
No two retreats are ever the same, because at Two Little Birds Retreats, we're... different.
